VASCO DA GAMA: "WE WILL BE BACK TO DEFEND THE TITLE"

The reigning World Futsal Championships Pro Division champions have made their intentions clear. Vasco da Gama plan to return to Orlando in July 2027 to defend the title they won at the Orange County Convention Center, and the club is already treating Edition XIV as a fixed point on its calendar.

"We will be back to defend the title," the club said when confirming its plans. A second star would place Vasco among the very few clubs to have won the Pro Division more than once, and the players who lifted the trophy last summer have spoken openly about wanting to do it again on the same court.

Edition XIV will bring 24 men's teams to Orlando between July 11 and July 15, 2027, with $150,000 in prize money and every team guaranteed a knockout run. Applications are open now. For the champions, the road to a second title starts the same way as everyone else's: through the group stage.
